Brian Post Joins ATCS as Senior Transportation Manager for the Baltimore, MD Region

Brian PostATCS is pleased to welcome Brian Post, P.E. as Senior Transportation Manager for the Baltimore, MD office. In this role, Brian will support and grow ATCS’ portfolio of projects in the Baltimore region. Brian brings over 17 years of experience managing a multitude of roadway and highway projects, design studies, multimodal designs, and multi-discipline teams. He has demonstrated a propensity for identifying and resolving issues related to project performance and supplement requests.

Brian brings strong experience managing the operations for the Baltimore Highway Group, leading open-end contracts for projects with the State Highway Administration’s (SHA) Office of Highway Development (OHD), SHA District 3, SHA District 6, and Montgomery DOT and the Baltimore City North Avenue Streetscape project. He prepared and negotiated task order fee proposals for the Highway Group, and was responsible for the preliminary and final design of roadway projects, overseeing design and feasibility studies, value engineering, multimodal and context-sensitive designs as well as quality reviews of client submittals.

Appointment of Barry Lucas – P.E., to the Professional Engineering Board

barryheadshotATCS is proud to announce that, Barry Lucas, P.E., Construction Services Manager of it’s D.C. Office, was appointed to the Professional Engineering Board. The nomination was made by D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser and was sent to the D.C. Council for approval. He was sworn in by Mayor Bowser on July 18, 2016 with a term expiring in January 2019.
This is a volunteer position which involves approvals of applicants for licensure in DC, disciplinary action for licensed engineers regarding ethics violations or incompetency, weighing in on the boards policies and interfacing with the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES), the national governing body for Professional Engineers and Surveyors, and any other items that come before the board. The board meets on the fourth Thursday of each month at the DCRA headquarters and consists of 7 members, including 4 Professional Engineer members, a licensed surveyor, a consumer member and staff from DCRA.

Kevin Siegel, P.E. joins ATCS as Vice President, Office Manager – Hamptons Roads

kevin-siegel-websiteATCS is pleased to announce the appointment of Kevin Siegel as Vice President, Hampton Roads region and Office Manager of our newest office in Newport News. In this role, Kevin will be responsible for developing and growing the Newport News branch office, and increasing ATCS’ visibility in the Hampton Roads market. He brings 13 years of broad civil engineering and project management experience, including roadway and trail design, traffic engineering, site development, utility investigations and design, environmental investigations and permitting, and facility condition assessments. He has a wide range of experience with municipal, private, Federal and DOT clients.

Kevin has been instrumental in advancing work revitalizing historic communities. He was recently the design manager for two phases of the Virginia Capital Trail, a bicycle and pedestrian trail, which connects the historic communities of Williamsburg and Richmond, Va., which won the 2014 WTS Central Virginia Chapter Innovative Transportation Award. He was also the project manager and lead designer for two phases of a streetscape revitalization program for the Southeast Community of the City of Newport News. Since 2008, he served as program manager of the U.S. Air Force Headquarters Air Combat Command (ACC) IDIQ Infrastructure contract, including managing the nationwide ACC bridge inspection program and multiple retro-commissioning programs at ACC bases around the country. He has also served as program manager on multiple other municipal and Federal on-call and IDIQ contracts.

Kevin earned a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University. He has served as president of ASCE’s Virginia Peninsula Branch since 2010, and is Education Committee co-chair of the Society of American Military Engineers Virginia Peninsula Post.

Our new vehicles will make our crews more efficient and ensure that we are able to respond to our clients and their needs.” says Tami Lenox, L.S., Manager of Corporate Surveying Services.

These trucks will be utilized as surveying and engineering field crew vehicles for projects across the Mid-Atlantic.
