Water Resources Department Manager

Mike brings over 25 years of civil engineering experience managing and designing a variety of water resources projects. He has managed diverse teams on large projects throughout the southeast and has performed all aspects of project delivery including environmental permitting, preparation of plans and specifications, CADD and GIS production,  cost estimating, grants management, bidding, stakeholder facilitation and construction administration.

His design experience includes projects related to wetland creation, stream restoration, regional flood control and water quality improvement basins; LID and Green Infrastructure; stormwater pumping systems, culvert and pipe system improvements and transportation drainage. Mike is also an expert modeler utilizing a wide variety of software to support his planning and design efforts including watershed assessments, stormwater master planning and flood mapping using hydrologic and hydraulic models including HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, EPA SWMM, XP-SWMM (2D) and ICPR as well as water quality modeling for assessing pollutant load reduction using SWMM, WASP and WMM on estuary and riverine studies to address TMDLs and locally impaired waters.

Mike received a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Florida.
